Moving for Mental Health

Providing Hope and healing, one step at a time.

Thank you for walking with us.

Whether you joined us on the trail at Deas Island, sponsored a walker, or supported behind the scenes, you took more than physical steps—you lifted up people facing the isolation and hopelessness of mental health challenges. And that matters deeply.

You raised awareness, built community, and brought us past the halfway point toward our $25,000 goal. But we aren’t finished yet. The walk for mental health continues.

Mental health is a daily battle. Therapy, peer support, and inclusive care aren’t optional extras—they’re lifelines. Despite that, too many people still face barriers to accessing them. Canadians in the lowest income group are 3 to 4 times as likely to have a mental illness and also face the highest barriers to support. Over 4,000 die every year from suicide.

When you give to Step Forward Health Society, you’re not just funding programs.

You’re offering someone the chance to feel seen. Heard. Valued.

You’re saving their life, sometimes literally.

May is Mental Health Month, but mental health doesn’t follow a calendar. Someone struggles to take their next step every day of the year, and they need your support now more than ever.
